Xavi gives Barcelona the green light to get rid of Lewandowski and sign one of the Premier League’s top scorers

Surprising press reports emerged about the future of Robert Lewandowski, the Barcelona striker, with the Catalan team, and the possibility of him leaving the ranks of his team during the upcoming summer Mercato.
According to what the Spanish newspaper “Sport” reported, Barcelona’s board of directors is studying the situation of the Polish striker, with his level declining in the current season and his salary rising in light of the financial crisis the team is going through.

The report indicated that Xavi Hernandez, the coach of the Catalan team, welcomes the idea of the Polish striker’s departure, as he wants to revolutionize Barcelona’s attack next season.
The Spanish newspaper reported in its report that Xavi believes that Lewandowski will not regain his peak level easily, so he wants to get rid of him and exploit his salary, as Barcelona aims to sign Swedish international Alexander Isak during the upcoming summer transfer period. Isak is shining with Newcastle in the English Premier League. He led the team last season to qualify for the Champions League.

The newspaper added that Xavi believes that Isaac will adapt quickly to Barcelona because of his knowledge of the atmosphere of La Liga, and that the player has developed a lot in Newcastle and is able to lead Barcelona’s attack in the coming years.
The Swedish striker had previously played in the Spanish League for Real Sociedad, and was close to Barcelona at one time, but the negotiations did not succeed.
