A Spanish press report revealed the existence of an agreement between Atletico Madrid and one of the stars of neighboring Real Madrid, during the past weeks, and the player is very close to moving to Atletico Madrid.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Atletico Madrid is seeking to strengthen the midfield position, and aims to sign the Real Madrid star.
The newspaper added: “The Spanish player Dani Ceballos was a target for Atletico Madrid when he was a player with Real Betis and before he moved to Real Madrid.”
The report indicated that officials from Atletico Madrid met with Ceballos’ father last year to convince him to join the team, but he ended up renewing his contract with Real Madrid.
With Ceballos not having a good opportunity to participate, due to the presence of many options in the midfield, it seems that Atletico Madrid has become an attractive option for him.
The report stated that there is a prior agreement between Ceballos and Atletico Madrid, according to people close to the player, but the final say will be given to the Real Madrid administration, given that the player’s contract extends for two years, but Ancelotti gave his word to the administration that the player should leave due to the difficulty of him getting the opportunity to participate.
