Spanish press reports sparked a huge surprise regarding the fact that the Liverpool first team star has agreed to move to Barcelona during the upcoming summer transfer period of 2024.
Barcelona is seeking to restore its ranks by signing strong deals in order to return to competing for all titles after the Catalan team lost all the tournaments it participated in this season.
The Spanish newspaper “Sport” revealed that the management of the Spanish club Barcelona is close to contracting with Colombian Luis Diaz during the upcoming summer transfer period of 2024.
The newspaper added that Luis Diaz welcomes leaving Liverpool in order to move to Barcelona in the next summer Mercato, as the player wants to fulfill his dream of wearing the Barcelona shirt, and what facilitates Barcelona’s mission is the player’s desire to leave after Jurgen Klopp’s departure.
The newspaper continued that Liverpool had signed Luis Diaz in January 2022, coming from Porto in a deal worth 50 million euros, with a contract extending until the summer of 2027.
