Real Madrid will compete in eight matches against eight distinct teams—four at home and four away—as part of the new format for the first round. After determining their eight opponents for this phase, Real Madrid have now finalized their squad, which is available on UEFA’s official website.
The two new summer signings, Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, have been included in List A, along with the rest of the senior squad. Jesus Vallejo, returning from a loan spell, is also part of this list. Additionally, 19-year-old goalkeeper Sergio Mestre is registered on List A, as he joined the club only this summer and thus does not meet the criteria for List B.
A player can be registered on List B if they were born on or after January 1, 2003, and have been eligible to play for the club for an uninterrupted period of two years since their 15th birthday by the time of registration with UEFA. Alternatively, they may be eligible if they have been with the club for a total of three consecutive years, including a maximum of one loan spell to a club from the same association, with the loan not exceeding one year.
As a result, Real Madrid have eight players on List B, comprising young academy prospects. This list includes goalkeeper Fran Gonzalez and defenders Raul Asencio, Jacobo Ramon, and Youssef Enríquez Lekhedim ‘Yusi.’ Additionally, midfielders Manuel Angel, Antonio Moreno, and Chema Andres, as well as forward Gonzalo Garcia, are also registered.
