There are two (understandable) changes for Real Madrid from their semi-final line-up: Lunin instead of Kepa Arrizabalaga and Toni Kroos in place of Luka Modric.
On the one hand, it is logical that Carlo Ancelotti has preferred Lunin after Kepa’s disappointing game against Atlético. On the other, Kroos is having a great season and the only reason he didn’t start the previous game was because he was just recovering from a physical problem.
There were rumours in some media that Camavinga could start at left-back or in midfield. However, the manager has been very complimentary this week about Mendy and in midfield he prefers the safety of Tchouaméni. Moreover, that gives him a golden bullet for the second half with Camavinga. Something similar has happened with Brahim: he is performing great, but Ancelotti prefers to keep Vinicius and Rodrygo and, incidentally, to have the Malagueño for the second half, something very useful, as was seen in the semi-final.
