Los Merengues have important reasons for no longer insisting on bringing the Frenchman into their ranks
Real Madrid have already ruled out signing Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, according to Cadena SER on Wednesday.
The Spanish media outlet reports that Los Merengues are no longer considering signing the striker, despite him deciding not to extend his contract with PSG and leave the club next summer.
Even in the future, Real Madrid will no longer go for Mbappe, despite having wanted him to join the club in recent transfer windows, thus closing off any possibility of trying to secure his services.
The reasons why Real Madrid are giving up on signing Mbappe
Cadena SER outlines the following points as the reasons for Los Blancos to forget about having Mbappe in their ranks:
- The first is the salary issue: Mbappe would not arrive in Madrid for less than 20 million euros a year, to that sum must be added a very high signing bonus for the player, in case he did not renew with PSG. The same situation would apply if he were to renew and a transfer fee were to be paid.
- Another factor is age: Although the striker would be almost 26 years old, Los Merengues have a strategy of signing young players, preferably before the age of 20.
- Finally, Cadena SER indicates that the third reason for Real Madrid to forget about signing Mbappe is the Frenchman’s failure to sign for the club two seasons ago, when he agreed a multi-million dollar renewal with the Parisian club.
