Endrick is a footballer who, in the words of Brazil coach Fernando Diniz, “has the potential to be one of the great talents.” “We are unsure if the talent will be verified. There is no pressure.

“It’s a reward and a future vision of what this kid can be. I find it interesting that a youngster born in 2006 is creating what he is generating. And he is currently having the time of his life, competing against elite teams in Brazil and making an impression.”

This season, Endrick has netted 11 goals for Palmeiras in 47 games across all competitions. When Endrick reaches eighteen in July 2024, Real Madrid revealed in December that he would be joining them.

Douglas Ramos, his father and agent, told ESPN that they were taken aback by his son’s selection to the Brazil first squad.

“To tell the truth, we were perhaps hoping to be called up to the Olympic team, which was my son’s focus,” Ramos stated. “We know he has promise, so hopefully it works out. I hope it’s not the last and that there will be more.”

João Pedro of Brighton & Hove Albion and Pepê from FC Porto are two more attackers who have joined the team. Richarlison of Tottenham and Matheus Cunha of Wolverhampton were not included in the team.

Neymar, the leading scorer for Brazil, is out due to knee surgery following a damaged meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee. On November 16, Brazil travels to Colombia, and five days later, they play Argentina in the Maracana stadium.

With seven points from four games, Diniz’s team is now ranked third in its qualification group. The Brazil national team will meet England in an international friendly at Wembley on March 23, 2024, according to a Monday announcement by the Football Confederation (CBF).
