Neither Barcelona nor Liverpool.. The star who rejected both clubs, Perez sees him as the ideal solution to Real Madrid’s problem

One of the most talked-about names in recent transfer markets, and a player considered a strong addition to Real Madrid’s squad, is Martín Zubimendi, whose situation is being closely monitored by Florentino Pérez.

Zubimendi, the Spanish midfielder, is wanted by several top clubs in Europe. Despite being linked on multiple occasions with a move to Barcelona, the Catalan club’s financial problems have made the deal impossible. Last summer, Liverpool also attempted to sign him, but Zubimendi chose to remain at Real Sociedad.

However, given the difficult times Real Sociedad is going through, this season could be Zubimendi’s last at Anoeta. Real Madrid is closely monitoring his situation, as the player could help address the midfield problems at the Santiago Bernabéu. Zubimendi is currently one of the best players in his position, making him an attractive option to strengthen Madrid’s midfield.

With Aurelien Tchouaméni’s inconsistent performances this season, Zubimendi could prove to be the ideal solution for the team. However, Real Madrid isn’t the only club interested in signing the Spanish midfielder. According to “The Sun”, Manchester City is also looking to bring him in. The English side is reportedly ready to trigger Zubimendi’s release clause of 60 million euros in the current winter transfer window.

Zubimendi, who previously turned down moves to both Barcelona and Liverpool, could be the key solution to Real Madrid’s midfield issues this season. Florentino Pérez is likely considering this option, but with Manchester City’s interest, signing him may prove more challenging than expected.

It remains to be seen how things will develop in the coming months. While Zubimendi is a key target for Real Madrid, City’s involvement could make the signing more complicated.
