Mikel Arteta urges Arsenal and fans to bring more passion: ‘on Wednesday, we want to do something special’
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has urged his team and supporters to bring even more energy and passion to tomorrow’s Champions League semi-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain, aiming to create an atmosphere even more intense than the one witnessed in their historic victory over Real Madrid.
” On Wednesday more, I told them and I’m not exaggerating when I said, guys, bring your boots, bring your shorts, bring your t-shirts and let’s play every ball together.
“We want to do something special, that place has to be something special, something that we haven’t seen. And I really hope that everybody that comes tomorrow to the Emirates and everybody that is watching and following us, brings that energy with them,” Arteta has said.
Arteta also reflected on the growing connection between the team and its supporters: “I think since I experienced and I was part of this as a player, 100%, and hopefully it will be much better because it’s very improvable still.
“Building your own story and having experiences that we have lately together, I think it’s going to make that relationship and that connection even stronger. Tomorrow we have a massive opportunity as well, as a club, as supporters, to demonstrate who we are and how far we still want to get together.”
