Manchester City travels to Madrid without three of its most prominent players

The Manchester City team trained this morning in their sports city in England before traveling directly to Madrid to face Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, at nine o’clock Cairo time, ten o’clock Saudi time.

Manchester City suffers from many injuries, especially in the defense line, in addition to a crowded match schedule, as the English team played three consecutive matches, while Real Madrid did not play its last match 9 days ago in the Spanish League.

In a shock to Guardiola, the trio of Kyle Walker, Nathan Ake and Gvardiol missed today’s training before traveling to Madrid, which means they will be largely absent from the match against Real Madrid, according to what the Spanish newspaper AS reported.

Nathan Ake and Walker’s agent missed the last match against Crystal Palace due to injury, while Gvardiol went off injured at halftime of the same match and was replaced by Swiss player Akanji, who now has the greatest chances to start against Real Madrid.

The first leg is scheduled to be held tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, while the return match will be held on Wednesday next week at the Etihad Stadium.
