Lewandowski asks Hansi Flick to remove this player from Barcelona’s starting lineup

Barcelona outclassed Young Boys 5-0 in the second round of the Champions League, achieving their first victory in the tournament this season.

Barcelona are preparing for a tough match in La Liga when they visit the stubborn team Deportivo Alaves in the ninth round of the Spanish League.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona striker, no longer hides his dissatisfaction with Ferran Torres’ performance, which reflects his discomfort with his role as a key player in the squad.

These statements came after the heavy defeat to Osasuna, and Lewandowski’s complaints continued after the Young Boys match as well, as the relationship between the duo seemed tense and clear, which raised the concern of coach Hansi Flick.
The newspaper added that Lewandowski stresses the importance of having players who understand his style and can better exploit his offensive capabilities.

In this context, the Polish player prefers his teammates like Raphinha and Lamine Yamal, who have a greater ability to link up and provide offensive support, which enhances the effectiveness of the team’s offensive performance.
On the contrary, Ferran Torres was unable to build this coordination with Lewandowski, which became an obstacle to the team’s strategies and prompted the Polish striker to express his dissatisfaction with the player explicitly.

The newspaper indicated that the Polish star asked his coach to remove Ferran Torres from the team’s starting lineup because he does not provide any significant addition as if the team was playing with 10 players.
If the situation continues as it is, Ferran Torres’ role may be significantly reduced, while Lewandowski will remain the main driver of Barcelona’s attack, surrounded by players who support his performance.
