Polish star Robert Lewandowski, the striker for the first football team of Barcelona, made strong statements, during which he talked about the number of one of his requests from Hansi Flick to achieve his dream this season, in addition to a special promise to the fans of Barça.
During the statements of the Polish international in the interview he conducted with the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, he said: “I want to score more goals than last season, for sure.”
He continued: “But of course this will be the goal of scoring more than 30 goals, I don’t know, maybe 35. It also depends on the team, so I hope they give me a lot of opportunities to score goals in the goal.”
He added: “I have changed my mentality a little this season as I am still trying to get my strength that I lost some of last season, I will give it my all this season.”
When asked about something he promises Barça fans with Flick? He answered by saying: “We will try to play more offensively, score more goals, and concede fewer goals.”
Lewandowski stressed that the difference between the styles of Xavi and current coach Hansi Flick lies in the German coach’s desire to always rely on attacking football.
The Barcelona striker said: “There is a difference, you can say that we did not play a match like this match last season.”
He continued: “Flick told us from the beginning that he wanted to create an attacking team that can create chances, score a lot of goals, and apply pressure well.”
The Catalan star added: “We started well, sometimes we stumble and sometimes things go well, but the season is long and a lot of things can happen.”
