Laporta loses his mind and puts Barcelona’s joker up for sale

There will be a lot of movement in the final week of the transfer market at Barcelona. The Blaugrana, who have serious problems regarding the salary cap, must fit all the pieces in order to be able to bring in at least two new players.

The idea is to bring in a left winger and a right back, but that would require more sales. Apart from Ansu Fati, who the club does not want to keep, the door would be open for a centre-back to leave.

The candidates are Christensen and Eric Garcia. One of them will have to leave Barcelona within days and everything will depend on the offers and the income the club can collect in the process.

In recent days, the rumours have focused on Christensen (a player who can play in several positions) who has not started at Mestalla, wants to play as a centre-back and knows that playing in that position here is not guaranteed. Christensen has said that he does not want to leave Barça, but in recent days he no longer has much resistance.

He has the same agent as Gundogan and has a big market in the Premier League. At the moment, there have been feelers from several clubs, but Christensen will only leave if he receives an offer from a high-profile project, and so far that has not happened.

Barcelona would be willing to sell him for at least €25m since his contract expires in 2026. His representatives are aware of this possibility and are exploring the market.

Christensen has been on Newcastle’s radar in the past, but the English club are struggling with financial issues related to fair play. Tottenham and Manchester United are monitoring in these final market days in case the Dane opens the door. Anything can happen, although he is an important player for Hansi Flick.

Eric Garcia’s case is different. He came back to stay but he knows that the competition is very big and that he has not started as a starter. His minutes may be few and Girona is waiting for him if he decides to leave.
