Joan Laporta could not hold back the tears of emotion on the San Mamés grass during the celebration for the Women’s Champions League. The Barcelona president was already seen very excited on the podium while he congratulated the champions one by one during the medal presentation.
Accompanied by Xavier Puig, director responsible for Barça women , and the club’s communications director, Àlex Santos, Laporta enjoyed the atmosphere of happiness and was captured in a video that was broadcast by the ‘X’ social network account ‘Barça women photos’. in which he was seen trying to hold back tears.
Laporta has just experienced a very intense week , with the traumatic decision to have dispensed with Xavi Hernández as head of the first team.
