Real Madrid are going through what is being described as Carlo Ancelotti’s most difficult period in his second adventure at the helm of the club and the negative results and pressure are mounting.
In addition, it has already been revealed that there is a tense atmosphere within the Madrid camp due to the work of fitness trainer Antonio Pintus, whose methods are being considered ‘old fashioned’.
Earlier it was reported that Real Madrid players had doubts about Pintu’s methods, which had previously received great praise, but which are now being considered ‘old fashioned’ for footballers.
This is something that The Athletic has confirmed and added that in the locker room they don’t really appreciate the fact that Pintus takes credit for their success but doesn’t take responsibility for their failures, especially the injury crisis.
Pintus is not the only one who is being criticized within the club in fact. Coach Francesco Mauri usually organizes training sessions alongside assistant Davide Ancelotti and the pair have long worked together.
Mauri is the son of Giovanni Mauri, another coach with whom Carlo Ancelotti has worked for many years, meaning that the latter is like a father figure to Francesco.
However, Mauri’s behavior has been called into question recently and there are many within the club who have criticized him.
“There were some things he said and did in the bank that if someone else did, he would leave,” a source inside the club told The Athletic.
It has been widely reported that Davide Ancelotti and Mauri will embark on a new career should Carlo Ancelotti leave Real Madrid, with Davide as coach and Mauri as his assistant.
