German coach Hans Flick, coach of Barcelona, expressed his happiness with his team’s victory over Valladolid 7-0, in the fourth round of the Spanish League.
The Blaugrana’s seven goals were scored at the Luis Companys Stadium by Rafinha (a hat-trick), Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde, Dani Olmo, and Ferran Torres.
Flick said, in statements reported by the Spanish newspaper Marca, “We did well, and the performance was great, the team gave 100% of what it had, and we created opportunities from the beginning.”
He continued, “The goal we had was to win the first 4 matches, and we accomplished that, and I am very happy, the fans are very wonderful in dealing with me, I feel good energy.”
He continued, “When you see the stadium stands shaking with this victory, you realize that the fans have witnessed something special, and the team as well, when it feels the support of the fans, it becomes more thirsty for goals.” He added: “I promise Barcelona fans that they will see the best version of Rafinha and Lamine Yamal this season. This duo will be among the most prominent candidates to win the Bon d’Or next year. Remember my words well.”
Barcelona currently occupies the first place in the Spanish League table with 12 points, and will play the next round against Girona on September 15.
