Barcelona is facing economic difficulties in order to retain all of its stars next season, and the Catalan team’s management must sacrifice some stars.
Barcelona is seeking to correct its economic conditions before the start of the new season in order to be able to conclude many strong deals that will support the team to return to being a strong competitor in all tournaments after a disappointing season.
According to information received from the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, the Barcelona administration is ready to sacrifice Brazilian striker Vitor Roque next summer.
Although Roque has a good goal-scoring rate, coach Xavi Hernandez did not rely on him in the crucial part of the season.
She pointed out that the main obstacle preventing Roque from continuing is the Financial Fair Play Law, because Barcelona was only able to register his contract for a period of only 6 months, and Barcelona will need to re-register Roque’s contract in La Liga again next summer.
She explained that registering Roque’s contract comes in fourth place on Barcelona’s list of priorities, after purchasing a new midfielder and left winger, in addition to re-registering Javi’s kit next summer.
Xavi prefers the first three options to Roque remaining, so the Brazilian striker will likely be sacrificed next summer, if Barcelona’s economic situation does not improve.
Barca officials realize that Rocky will be one of the team’s future stars, so they plan to sell him on loan only.
