Bellingham is proud to follow in the footsteps of Zidane, Beckham and Gerrard
Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham says he is looking to preserve the “legacy” of Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and Steven Gerrard.
The England international has made an incredible impact at the Santiago Bernabeu following his summer transfer from Borussia Dortmund, scoring 16 goals in 19 appearances. He inherited Zidane’s number 5 shirt in the Spanish capital, and also became the face of adidas’ new Predator shoe line.
Bellingham told Marca about his progress: “Zidane is one of the best midfielders in history. I hope to preserve the legacy of his shirt and shoes. I hope to there are many great moments ahead, let’s continue the legacy of this shoe, of this brand and try to inspire the next generation.”
