Romero noted that while Flick values Olmo’s skills and his contribution to the team, he prefers Olmo over Ferran Torres, who Flick is considering keeping as a backup throughout the season.
The journalist also mentioned that Flick informed Ferran Torres that he will not be in the starting lineup this season due to Dani Olmo’s presence. Robert Lewandowski has expressed his preference for playing alongside Olmo, unlike when Torres is on the field. The journalist concluded that Torres is unhappy with this decision, feeling he deserves a starting spot.
