Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport recently reported that PSG and Barcelona are intensifying their efforts, putting pressure on Napoli to finalize a deal before next summer.
According to a recent report from La Repubblica, Barcelona are in ongoing talks to sign a Napoli player, with negotiations already underway. The Italian outlet indicates that the deal could be finalized for around €80 million.
What’s the latest on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia?
Il Mattino reports (h/t Le10Sport) that FC Barcelona have been interested in Kvaratskhelia for some time. To make matters worse for PSG, Napoli are reportedly trying to extend the contract of their 23-year-old Georgian forward.
The Italian outlet also reveals that Napoli’s management are looking to extend Kvaratskhelia’s contract, which is currently set to run until June 30, 2027. It is further reported that Aurelio De Laurentiis has already made an offer to the player, proposing a one-year deal worth approximately €6 million per year.
Journalist Graeme Bailey shared with Rousing the Kop that Liverpool are monitoring Kvaratskhelia as part of their plans to prepare for Mohamed Salah’s eventual departure.
“When you’ve got the likes of possibly Kvaratskhelia on the market, let’s not forget that Liverpool have just brought in the second best Georgian player,” Bailey said. “Liverpool are all over Kvaratskhelia, they know about the situation, there might be a chance of getting him next summer.”
