Barcelona Star Lamine Yamal breaks Cristiano Ronaldo’s all-time record at major international tournaments

Even more amazing is the fact that Yamal has already done more than some of football’s greatest players. 

In the knockout stages of big events, he has more assists than Cristiano Ronaldo, who has two. Ronaldo’s two assists came against the Netherlands in Euro 2004 and Wales in Euro 2016. 

The three assists Yamal had in the knockout rounds of EURO 2024 tied him with Dani Olmo and Luke Shaw for the most assists by a player in a single event since 1980. Both players set that record during EURO 2020.

Yamal’s success in EURO 2024 is just one of many things he has done well. 

He was the youngest player to ever play in a European Championship game. He was 16 years and 338 days old.

At 16 years and 362 days, he is also the youngest player to ever play in a Euro or World Cup semi-final. 

He was also the youngest player to play in a Euro or World Cup final, at 17 years and 1 day.

Yamal is very talented and has a lot of promise. He is a European winner at only 17 years old. 

Throughout the event, he has played nothing but amazing games, and he has already proven himself to be one of the most talented young players in the world.
