Barcelona ready to reactivate contact with Bayern Munich midfield star

This season in the Bundesliga, one of the most notable highlights has been Bayern Munich’s struggling performance. The club has been unable to retain its dominant position in German football while Thomas Tuchel has been in charge of the team management.

Bayern is now 12 points behind Bayer Leverkusen, who are currently in first place in the Bundesliga standings, and there is a possibility that they may not get the Bundesliga championship this season.

The Bavarians were defeated by Lazio in the first leg of the Round of 16 match earlier this month, even though they were competing in the UEFA Champions League. As a result of the club’s elimination from the DFB Pokal, it is possible that they may not win any trophies during this season.

The Barcelona team should get back in touch with Kimmich.

It has been reported by Adrian Sanchez that Barcelona has reestablished contact with star player Joshua Kimmich in light of Bayern Munich’s dismal performance.

There is no doubt that Kimmich is one of Barcelona’s top targets in the midfield unit. The club is looking to find an excellent long-term successor for Sergio Busquets, and Kimmich is one of the players they are interested in signing.

Sanchez also claims that the player’s relationship with Bayern boss Tuchel is worsening, which might be beneficial to Barcelona’s prospects of signing Kimmich.

In point of fact, Kimmich is of the opinion that the Bayern project under Tuchel does not have any prospects for the future. This is the reason why he has declined to extend his contract at the Allianz Arena.

As a result of the fact that Kimmich’s present contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire in the summer of 2025, there is a high probability that Bayern will be forced to sell him in the summer that is to come, particularly if the player continues to be unwilling to sign a new contract.

In light of this, Barcelona has seen a promising market opportunity to acquire the services of the German international player.

Having said that, it is important to point out that the Catalans might still end up spending a lot on Kimmich. The player is valued by Bayern at around 70 million euros, and it is not anticipated that this sum will be reduced in the near future.

Despite this, it is possible that Barcelona’s prospects of acquiring Kimmich are still stronger than they were during the previous summer. In addition, it will be fascinating to see the way in which things develop over the next several months.
