Press reports revealed an exciting request from the Barcelona administration for Athletic Bilbao winger Neco Williams, whom they want to sign.
Barca management officials, headed by Joan Laporta and Deco, the club’s sporting director, are seeking to finalize the contract deal with Nico Williams, the Athletic Bilbao and Spain national team player, in the next few days.
Blaugrana wants to sign Williams after the player showed his potential and attracted attention during his participation with El Matador in Euro 2024, and his significant contribution to winning the tournament, as he formed a strong duo with Barca player Lamine Yamal.
According to what the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” reported, Barcelona asked Nico for a quick response to the offer, and if he refused, they would go forcefully to settle the Olmo deal.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano indicated that Barca is now placing its full focus on the Williams deal, and other goals will be discussed after its completion.
He confirmed that Barcelona will intensify its talks this week to obtain the green light on personal terms, and Deco will begin new talks to end the matter quickly.
