Al Nassr emerged victorious by winning all six matches and claimed the title by defeating Al-Ittihad with a score of 3-0. Maria Cecília, originally from Patrocínio, began her volleyball journey at Catiguá before moving on to represent Minas, where she embarked on her professional career. In her inaugural season, she became part of the championship team for the 2018/2019 Superliga, South American, Copa do Brazil, Campeonato Mineiro, and acquired the runner-up position in the Club World Cup.
Maria Cecília, a former member of Minas’ main squad during the 2018/2019 season, has had quite the journey since then. She played for several different teams including São José dos Pinhais, Chapecó, Bradesco Esportes, and even Kairós in Portugal. However, her latest adventure took her to Saudi Arabia when an opportunity arose while she was on vacation in August. She is currently under contract with Al Nassr until December and the team is gearing up to compete in the Saudi Games in November in Riyadh after winning the Saudi League.
