‘There is a doubt for the return match’: Luis Enrique on Ousmane Dembele’s injury

Paris Saint-Germain are facing an anxious wait over the fitness of Ousmane Dembele after the winger suffered a suspected hamstring injury during their 1-0 win over Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

The 27-year-old scored the only goal of the night at the Emirates Stadium, handing the French champions a narrow advantage ahead of the return leg at the Parc des Princes on May 7. However, Dembele was forced off in the 70th minute and replaced by Bradley Barcola, visibly in discomfort as he made his way straight down the tunnel.

French journalist Fabrice Hawkins reported that Dembele has sustained a hamstring issue, and PSG boss Luis Enrique has confirmed after the match that the forward is now a doubt for the second leg.

“The medical tests will take place tomorrow. It’s nothing serious, it’s rather light, but there is a doubt for the return match,” Enrique has said.
