Al-Khelaifi asks Laporta for 45 million euros, but Barcelona will only pay 30 million or wait to sign him for free

Barcelona could opt to go to the winter transfer market to strengthen their squad, and Hansi Flick believes that one of the areas they need to improve is midfield.

They have suffered the long-term loss of Marc Bernal, who will miss the rest of the season, and currently Frenkie de Jong, Pablo ‘Gavi’, Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez are not available.
According to information from Spanish newspaper El Nacional, Joan Laporta and Deco are considering several deals, and one of the most convincing is that of Fabián Ruiz, who has become one of the most popular players in Barcelona’s ranks in recent months.

He arrived at the Euros without making much noise, and it was a personal gamble from Luis de la Fuente, who, against all odds, preferred him over other teammates such as Martín Zubimendi or Mikel Merino.
At Paris Saint-Germain he is an important part of Luis Enrique’s plans, although he is not an undisputed starter, due to the competition in his position, with stars such as Warren Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Joao Neves or Desiree Doué, in addition, his relationship with the coach is not entirely good.

All this has led Fabián Ruiz to seriously consider leaving the Parc des Princes as soon as the opportunity arises, and the Camp Nou will be very interested in welcoming him to its ranks and Flick believes that he fits perfectly into its plans, and Nasser Al-Khelaifi is open to discussing his sale but he will not make things easy, and will ask for a large financial compensation.
More precisely, Paris Saint-Germain will ask Barcelona for around 45 million euros to allow Fabián to eventually return to La Liga again.

This amount is considered by Barcelona to be excessive, and Laporta and Deco do not intend to put more than 30 million on the table, especially if we take into account that Fabián’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in 2026 and it is possible to sign him for free due to the player’s desire to move to the Camp Nou.
