Joan Laporta ignores signing Kimmich, Laporta changed the plan because of this surprise player

Joshua Kimmich is one of Hansi Flick’s top desires to strengthen Barcelona’s squad from next season, and this was one of his first requests when he arrived at the club, but Bayern Munich were not willing to negotiate for one of their leaders, and closed the door in his face.

It seems that the German international has already decided to pack his bags and start a new adventure, trying his luck away from the German league for the first time in his career.
According to information from the Spanish newspaper El Nacional, the player is asking for an astronomical salary and incredible commissions, as he will move without cost as a free agent.

The newspaper added that the officials at Camp Nou do not want to make such a big bet, and the competition in the auction does not make things easier at all because teams of the size of Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City are also interested in signing him.
All this has led Barcelona to begin to understand that Kimmich is a very difficult target, and they are already studying other alternatives to strengthen the midfield, which will also be very interesting.

For example, Martín Zubimendi, who was one of Xavi Hernández’s obsessions, and who despite all the odds continues to defend the colors of Real Sociedad, despite the fact that he received several offers to leave last summer.
The Spanish international will be one of the stars of the next summer transfer market and could leave Anoeta for 60 million euros, the figure stipulated in the player’s contract as a release clause.

Laporta also believes that Kimmich would be a great signing, but he believes that Zubimendi is an equally interesting “plan B” as he is younger, at 25 years old, and plays with the advantage of knowing La Liga perfectly.
The Basque is therefore the current favorite in the Barcelona squad to become the new Sergio Busquets.
