Hansi Flick delivers a powerful message to Barcelona players following their loss to Monaco.

An early red card for Eric Garcia put Barcelona at a disadvantage, but they nearly salvaged a point until Monaco took a 2-1 lead in the second half. Flick acknowledged that the red card significantly impacted the outcome, but he urged his players to recover from the defeat.

“Yes, the game shifted entirely after the red card. We fought hard and defended with passion. We made some mistakes, but we aimed to score and had a few chances; they deserved the win,” he told Movistar.

“We lost, and I conveyed that to the players, but now we need to come back stronger and prepare for Sunday’s match. We must give our best and fight for the team. We lost this game, but we will keep pushing forward.”

Barcelona won’t have much time to reflect on the result, as they face Villarreal this weekend. Flick’s team is still unbeaten in La Liga, and the German coach aims to maintain that streak.
