German Hansi Flick, the head coach of Barcelona’s first football team, has pinpointed the initial signings for the Blaugrana during the upcoming winter transfer window. Barcelona aims to enhance their squad in the winter transfer market to ensure they are in peak technical and physical shape for the critical stages of the season.
According to Luis Rojo, a journalist for Spanish outlet “Marca,” the right-back Oscar Mingueza from Celta Vigo is set to be Barcelona’s first acquisition in the winter transfer window. Rojo noted that Barcelona is actively seeking a right-back, and Mingueza, who has been impressive with Celta Vigo and earned a spot on the Spanish national team, has a release clause of 20 million euros.
He added, “Barcelona holds 50% of his rights. If Celta decides to sell him, Barcelona has the first option to purchase him for just 10 million euros.”
It’s also worth noting that Barcelona leads La Liga with 12 points after winning their first four matches, putting them 4 points ahead of their traditional rival, Real Madrid, at the start of the season.
