The Manchester City star requests a move to Barcelona in the summer

Barcelona is seeking to strengthen its ranks and conclude strong contracts in the summer in order to return to competition again after a disappointing season in terms of results in which the Catalan team lost all the championships.
Barcelona is continuing its efforts to sign the Manchester City striker this summer, who has remained a primary goal for the Catalan team throughout the past period, but the club’s financial crises have prevented the deal from being completed.

The Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo” reported that “Silva (29 years old) tops the wanted list of German coach Hansi Flick and the sports administration in Barcelona, thanks to his exceptional technical abilities and his great experience in major competitions.”
Barca failed to sign a contract with Silva during the past two seasons, despite the player agreeing to move to the Catalan team in order to fulfill his childhood dream, but all attempts were destroyed due to City’s financial demands and problems with Barca’s salary bill.

After his transfer to Barcelona failed, Bernardo extended his contract with City until the summer of 2026, but included a release clause of 50 million pounds, an amount that Barcelona can afford, as the player will give up part of his salary to leave for Barcelona.
The newspaper explained that “Blaugrana can contract with (Silva) on the condition that he is given a salary that is not high, by using the money he obtains from selling some of his players, or by reducing wages, which the player very much welcomes.”
