The interest of La Liga giants Real Madrid in the signing of a key member of the defensive ranks at Liverpool has today been confirmed.
The info comes courtesy of transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, and highlights Trent Alexander-Arnold as the player in question.
It is common knowledge that the brass at Spanish champions Real have been on the lookout for a new long-term right-back option for some time now.
As much comes with the Blancos’ two current options in the role, in Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vázquez, both set to turn 33 in the near future.
Though reinforcements are not urgent as of yet, the search for fresh blood at right-back is expected to kick up a notch in the summer of 2025.
And, at this point, Florentino Pérez and co. could well launch an assault for the aforementioned Trent Alexander-Arnold.
As revealed by Fabrizio Romano, during an appearance on ‘Mics Pod’, Alexander-Arnold is viewed as a potential market opportunity in 12 months’ time.
This comes with the England international’s current terms with Liverpool due to expire.
With the Real Madrid board in ‘love’ with the talents boasted by TAA, they would in turn be eager to pair the defender with fellow countryman Jude Bellingham at the Santiago Bernabéu for the 2025/26 campaign.
