Some of the world’s most influential contemporary artists are coming together in London for a major charity art auction aimed at supporting medical workers in Gaza. The initiative, organised by Health Workers 4 Palestine, will form part of the Seeds of Solidarity Gala, scheduled to take place at The Savoy on 1 February 2026. Proceeds from the auction will go directly to the Gaza Medics’ Solidarity Fund, which provides vital assistance to healthcare professionals working in extreme and dangerous conditions.
Among the high-profile contributors is musician and visual artist Brian Eno, who is donating his work Seeing Through to Sky. Eno has a longstanding record of using his creative practice to support humanitarian causes. He is joined by Turner Prize-winning sculptor Sir Antony Gormley, widely known for Angel of the North, who will also be donating a piece to the auction in support of the cause.
The event features contributions from nearly 20 artists in total, making it one of the most significant charity art auctions announced for the coming year. The line-up includes internationally recognised names such as Mona Hatoum, Lisa Brice, Hassan Hajjaj, Caroline Walker, Alison Wilding, Sam Durant and Rana Begum. Together, their involvement underscores the scale of artistic solidarity behind the fundraiser.
Health Workers 4 Palestine is a global network of medical professionals active in more than 70 cities worldwide, advocating for the protection and support of Palestinian healthcare workers. The Seeds of Solidarity auction is designed to bring artists, collectors and the wider public together to raise awareness and funds for medics continuing their work in Gaza under extraordinary pressure.
Curated by British-Palestinian art curator Zayna Al-Saleh, the auction builds on the success of her earlier Voices of Palestine initiatives, which raised substantial funds in previous years. The evening will also include a performance by the London Arab Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Basel Saleh. The fundraiser takes place against the backdrop of severe damage to Gaza’s healthcare system, with the Solidarity Fund providing direct financial support to doctors, funding mobile medical clinics, and helping rebuild essential facilities such as maternity wards.
