Barça is about to experience another Sotil case and another Mirotic case. Laporta is left in the hands of Tebas and Olmo himself.
Dani Olmo’s disillusionment is total and absolute. This summer he already considered the possibility of not being registered in LaLiga. He included it in his contract.
Dani Olmo Becomes a Free Agent
If that circumstance occurred, Dani Olmo would become a free agent and Barça wouldn’t have any rights over him.
The contract stipulates that Barça would be obliged to satisfy the six years signed at a rate of 12 million per season. Total: 72 million. However, while that happened, Olmo would be playing for another team.
Barça would also have to settle the remaining amount owed to Leipzig from the 48+7 million signed this summer. Total: 40 million.
Additionally, Barça would lose an asset valued in the official market at 60 million euros. Another subtraction in Laporta’s financial results.
Finally, Barça will try to get LaLiga and the Federation to reconsider their stance and accept Dani Olmo’s re-registration this Friday. It would be a legally controversial option. On paper, he can’t be re-registered in the same season with the same club from which he was deregistered.
100 Million Lost with Qatar Seats
For a change in stance from the competent bodies, the documentation presented by Laporta must be validated. It refers to the VIP seats sold to his friends (formerly enemies) from Qatar.
The Qatari investors, who have seen Joan Laporta in desperate mode and have taken advantage of the situation. Barça has sold for 100 million an asset it valued at 200 million.
100 million lost in VIP seats, 60 million lost in Dani Olmo’s valuation, 40 million owed to Leipzig, and 72 million in player salaries. Total: 272 million.
It’s the price of reckless management in a transfer that could be ruinous for Barça. Especially if the player decides to adhere to what was signed, becomes a free agent, collects, and goes to play for another club.
Olmo is More of a Barça Fan Than Laporta Expected
Laporta, in fact, already considered him lost. However, he was surprised. Dani Olmo is more of a Barça fan than the president thought and is willing to waituntil an acceptable solution is found.
Olmo and his entourage are worried and very upset with the lack of rigor and credibility shown by President Laporta. However, they won’t betray Barça.
Dani Olmo will continue training with Barça and will only leave if no solution is found. Then he will accept finishing the season with another team, but with the intention of returning.
He hopes that next summer Joan Laporta will have found that solution he couldn’t discover before December 31.
Right now Barça depends on a favor from LaLiga, something very dangerous with Javier Tebas involved. It’s about Tebas making an exception and accepting the documentation submitted late, with a three-day delay.
Like the Sotil Case and the Mirotic Case
Being in debt to Tebas and in a position of inferiority to LaLiga could cost Barça dearly.
The club faces another Sotil case, where he was out for a year due to serious bureaucratic errors in his documentation. We’re also facing another Mirotic case, the basketball player who was dismissed from Barça. He collected every euro of his two-year pending contract while scoring for another team.
