Unrivaled Basketball League Shatters Records with $1 Million in Ticket Sales for Sold-Out Semi-Finals in Brooklyn …

In a stunning display of growing popularity for women’s 3-on-3 basketball, the Unrivaled Basketball League announced today that ticket sales for Monday’s playoff semi-finals at Barclays Center generated a record-breaking $1 million in gate revenue. The doubleheader, featuring intense matchups that decided the finalists for the 2026 championship, drew a capacity crowd of 18,261 fans, marking a complete sell-out and further cementing Unrivaled’s meteoric rise in its second season.

League President Alex Bazzell hailed the achievement as a milestone for the innovative league. “This $1M in ticket sales from one night of semi-final action speaks volumes about the hunger for high-level women’s basketball,” Bazzell said in a statement. “Moving the playoffs to Barclays Center after our record-setting tour stop in Philadelphia was a bold step, and the fans showed up in force. We’re proving that 3-on-3 basketball delivers non-stop excitement and star power that resonates.”

The semi-finals featured thrilling contests on the league’s signature smaller court. In the first game, the top-seeded Phantom BC, led by Kelsey Plum’s clutch game-winner, advanced past the underdog Vinyl BC. The nightcap saw Mist BC rally from behind, with Arike Ogunbowale draining a dramatic three-pointer to edge out Breeze BC and secure their spot in Wednesday’s championship showdown against Phantom. The electric atmosphere inside Barclays Center rivaled any NBA playoff vibe, with fans chanting for stars like Breanna Stewart, Paige Bueckers, and rising talents throughout.

This latest revenue surge builds on Unrivaled’s earlier successes, including the all-time attendance record of 21,490 set during their Philadelphia tour stop, which also topped $1M in tickets alone. Officials noted that total league revenue is on pace to exceed $45 million this season, driven by expanded arenas, national broadcasts on TNT/truTV and HBO Max, and passionate fan engagement.

As Unrivaled prepares for the championship finale, the league’s trajectory points to even bigger things ahead—potentially more tour stops and larger venues in 2027. For now, the $1 million semi-finals haul stands as undeniable proof: women’s basketball, Unrivaled style, is here to stay and thriving
