The race, originally scheduled for March 6-8 at Albert Park, will now take place at a rescheduled date later in the year, pending final confirmation of a new slot.
The decision comes after Australian security agencies, working with international partners, received specific intelligence indicating a heightened risk of terrorist activity aimed at disrupting the high-profile event. Sources close to the investigation described the threats as “credible and specific,” involving potential coordinated actions in the Melbourne area during the race weekend.
